Natasha Azoulay - MSW, RSW

People often seek therapy because what they are experiencing feels complicated, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words. Some feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. Others know exactly what they are struggling with, but haven’t found support that truly fits their needs. Nat’s role as a therapist is to help make space for those experiences and work collaboratively towards greater understanding, stability, and choice.

Her practice focuses on supporting youth, adolescents, adults, and families in navigating complex and developmental trauma, dissociative experiences, neurodivergence, chronic illness, pain and disability, mood-related concerns, and 2SLGBTQIA+ issues.

She believes there is no single “right” way to do therapy. Every person brings a unique history, nervous system, and way of relating to the world, so her approach to practice incorporates a blend of modalities that is uniquely tailored to suit individual needs. In her work, she draws from trauma-informed care, DBT, CBT, ACT, EFT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and more. Rather than applying a single model, she adapts various approaches to align with each client’s goals, capacity, and way of processing the world.

Sessions may involve developing practical coping and regulation strategies, exploring patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships, processing lived experiences, or strengthening a sense of identity and self-understanding. When appropriate, therapy can also include creative methods from art or play therapy to support engagement and expression.

She is ASIST certified and trained in Therapeutically Applied Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TA-TRPG), which may be incorporated thoughtfully into practice, particularly with youth and adolescents.

Her work is grounded in anti-oppressive, feminist, neurodiverse, and queer-affirming frameworks. She aims to develop a therapeutic relationship that is respectful, transparent, and collaborative; one where clients feel supported in building skills and insight in ways that are meaningful and sustainable for them.
