My Story & Why I Created this Masterclass
My journey with reproductive health is one many will find familiar, but it was also uniquely my own.
From a young age, I struggled with painful periods, irregular cycles, and ongoing health issues. Despite repeatedly seeking help, I was often told “nothing was wrong.” It wasn’t until my late twenties that endometriosis was suggested, but even then, no one explained how it could impact my fertility or what I could do to prepare.
When it came time to try to conceive, I faced unexpected challenges. My first fertility clinic experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported. My second was more positive, and with the right team and the support of friends who had walked a similar path, we conceived our son through IVF.
Even then, the process was confusing, emotionally draining, and isolating — especially during the pandemic, when my partner couldn’t attend appointments. I realized that while clinics provide essential services, they often lack the resources to address the full emotional, mental, and practical needs of patients.
This masterclass was born from that realization, to offer others the clarity, support, and holistic perspective I wish I’d had.

Realities and Statistics
Infertility affects many individuals and couples, yet it is often discussed quietly or misunderstood. Understanding the real numbers helps you see that you are not alone and provides important context for what to expect during your journey.
1 in 6 couples in Canada experience infertility:
Infertility is far more common than many people realize. One in six Canadian couples will face challenges conceiving, which highlights the importance of accessible education, emotional support, and specialized care.
1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage:
Pregnancy loss is a deeply personal and painful experience that affects many families. Recognizing how common it is can help reduce the sense of isolation and encourage open conversations about grief, recovery, and emotional healing.
IVF success rates drop significantly after age 40:
Age plays an important role in fertility outcomes. For women over 40, success rates for IVF decline as egg quality and quantity decrease, making it especially valuable to understand your options early and plan with realistic expectations.
15 to 30 percent of infertility cases are diagnosed with unexplained infertility:
In many cases, standard testing cannot identify a clear cause of infertility. This can be frustrating and confusing, but it also underscores the importance of continued exploration, holistic care, and emotional support throughout the process.
Male fertility is also impacted by age and can affect miscarriage rates and time to conceive:
Fertility challenges are not limited to women. Male fertility also declines with age, influencing both conception rates and pregnancy outcomes. Awareness of this helps couples approach fertility care as a shared journey that involves both partners.
