Michelle Li - MSW, RSW

Michelle has been providing services in the mental health sector since 2016. Her therapeutic philosophy is heavily influenced by her experience supporting ethnically diverse adolescents and adults from her work with community organizations, private practices, as well as supporting patients admitted for psychiatric hospitalizations. Using a warm and empathic approach, her mission is to empower clients to reach their full potential by processing emotional burdens, targeting obstacles that impede growth, and strengthening clients’ toolbox of coping strategies.

Michelle recognizes every client is unique, therefore, she works collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan that targets your specific presenting concerns. She draws from evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Michelle’s goal is to create an emotionally safe and non-judgmental space to foster acceptance, growth, and resilience.

Michelle is a firm believer that all individuals have the willpower and the ability to overcome life’s hurdles. We all experience moments of feeling hopeless and lost. Her objective is to be the guiding light to assist in the exploration of your identity, strengths, and drawing connections to help you understand the impacts of your past experiences on present-day challenges. Together, we will embark on your unique journey towards building a life worth living.
