Marisa Edson - MSW, RSW

Marisa is a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience and holds a Master of Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York. As a therapist and a mother of two young children, Marisa brings a grounded, real-life understanding of the pressures that come with parenting, managing multiple responsibilities, and trying to prioritize one’s mental health.

Marisa’s work is guided by the belief that a meaningful life is built when our daily choices reflect the values we care about most. She supports young adults, adults, couples, and families in identifying what truly matters to them and in developing practical ways to honour those values in their relationships, routines, and decision-making.

Her clinical background includes extensive work in complex mental health and addiction. Marisa has provided intensive DBT, ACT and CBT programming in hospital settings, offering both group and individual therapy. In recent years, she has focused on working with clients facing trauma, emotional dysregulation, and addiction.

Marisa has also supported first responders, active military members, and individuals participating in in-patient rehabilitation programs. In addition, Marisa works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and challenges related to self-worth and self-care. Marisa’s approach is collaborative, practical, and deeply client-centered. She aims to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable.
