Founder's Story

I have always worked in the helping profession in different capacities, transitioning into private practice stemming from recognizing a profound need for practitioners to address gaps our systems overlook, especially concerning mental health.

In 2019, my journey into fertility issues began, navigating the intricate complexities of this world for two years. While fortunate to conceive my son through IVF, I was struck by the glaring lack of informed and empathetic support leading up to and through my experience, particularly within infertility and women’s reproductive health. If someone had heard and/or believed me before, could my experience, at least emotional, have been different? Could I have been better prepared? This realization ignited a broader mission: to extend unwavering support and guidance to those feeling isolated and abandoned by systems meant to assist them.

My vision for support extends far beyond infertility, embracing all facets of mental health management, which led to the development of Supportive Therapy. The intention behind the practice is to create a space for people to not feel alone in whatever they are going through; to develop multi-faceted capacity in different areas of their lives; to be challenged in constructive ways and learn how to use a critical lens when managing situations, especially those that they feel are no longer serving them.

Client experience stands as a paramount concern, deeply ingrained in our practice values. Finding the right therapist can be daunting, yet pivotal for successful therapy. We prioritize aligning clients with therapists passionate about their areas of focus, equipped with modalities tailored to individual needs. Trust is fostered to nurture therapeutic relationships, allowing for comfortable boundaries and transparent feedback.
